FAQs about Visual Voicemail

- You can have the system read your phone number "913-555-1234 is not available, please leave a message" (this is what is played when there is no recorded name or active greeting).
- You can have the system play your name “John Smith is not available, please leave a message” (this is what is played when there is no active greeting, but you have recorded your name).
- You can record a custom greeting.

- Press the Home icon on the bottom of the phone.
- Touch Main > Voicemail.
- Touch Personalize Now and follow the system prompts to:
- Create a passcode
- Record your name
- Record a greeting
- When prompted to enter information, touch the Dial Pad icon to bring up the onscreen dial pad for numeric responses.
- Once the setup process is complete, return to the Voicemail page. See steps 1, 2, and 3.
- Touch the Welcome to Voicemail message on the screen to play a brief explanation of the Visual Voicemail service.

If you would like to play your phone number as a greeting, delete the recording of your name, and the active greeting.
- To delete your name:
- Dial your phone number, or press and hold 1 to access voicemail
- Press * to get to main menu
- Press 4 for personal options
- Press 4 to modify your personal preferences
- Press 3 to Access your recorded name
- Press 3 to Delete your name
- To delete your greeting:
- Dial your phone number, or press and hold 1 to access voicemail
- Press 3 to change greeting
- Press 7 to delete your greeting
- To delete your name:

- Press the Home icon on the bottom of the phone.
- Touch Main > Voicemail.
- Touch a voicemail entry to begin playback.
- From the playback screen, touch Re/Fwd>Reply to place an outgoing call to the sender's phone number.

- When you upgrade to Visual Voicemail, voicemails that were received before the upgrade will be lost.
- Before switching to Visual Voicemail, you should listen to all voicemail messages and make note of important information.

- To protect the Visual Voicemail on your phone, we recommend you use the screen lock on your Android™ phone.
- To lock your screen, go to Menu > Settings > Security (or Location & security) > Set up screen lock (or Screen unlock pattern).

- If you are receiving notifications that you have visual voicemails, but your voicemail icon is not showing the unread message count, you have the voicemail icon installed, not the voicemail widget.
- To install the Voicemail widget:
- First, delete the Voicemail icon; press and hold the icon, and drag it down to the trash can, usually located on the bottom center of the screen
- Press and hold the spot on the screen where you want the new widget to appear
- Select Widgets from the menu
- Scroll down until you see the Voicemail icon and select it.
